chirurgia stomatologiczna

t turned out that Junior’s jaw is too small and before we get him upper arch braces, it would be a good idea to pull out his wisdom teeth, because there is so little space that they will never grow. Fortunately, these are only buds without any roots yet so the procedure is unlikely to damage the bones. Unfortunately, they are still under the gum, so the only option is surgical extraction, i.e. incision into the gums, extraction of the tooth in pieces and then stitching it up.

Okay, Junior is tough guy and also a bit abnormal, and apparently the recovery period is the same when pulling out a single third molar as when pulling out four. We decided to have a serious talk with the surgeon, who said that extracting two teeth on one side in a single sitting is not a problem, but he would be reluctant to remove all four at once. Besides, the first appointment is too short so there wouldn’t be enough time anyway.

We decided to see how Junior would feel during the procedure and recovery, and in the best case scenario, we would extract the remaining three at once during the second appointment. The surgeon was not delighted with the idea but let the patient make that decision during the next procedure.

So how did Junior prepare for it? He saturated himself with vitamin C and – this time also with MSM. Vitamin C and MSM form an excellent set of building blocks for building collagen, which is very important when we are to cut the mucosa, and at the same time we risk damaging the bones, sinuses, etc. MSM also seals the mucosa, so there should be less bleeding, the healing should be faster and the reconstruction more efficient.

As I said, Junior is not normal. During the procedure, he mainly joked and expressed genuine disappointment when he learned that it’s only a single tooth this time because the next patient was already waiting.

We got a prescription for an antibiotic.

We got a prescription for Ketonal.

We returned home to suffer and wait for lockjaw.

I didn’t buy an antibiotic, but immediately gave Junior a glass of MSM to sip every half an hour and a glass of silver (ionic, homemade, about 10 ppm) telling him to drink at least half a liter a day for the next week. Ketonal came in handy for the first two nights.

Junior spent the first three days drinking granita, MSM and silver for the same amount of time it took him to watch a TV series, which is virtually non-stop. He did get lockjaw but is was not severe.

On the third day he was basically up and about asking for soup, kisel and food in general.

He didn’t have a fever and there was no serious swelling, so I threw out the prescription for the antibiotic – after seven days, the stitches were removed and he was congratulated on how he was healing.

In other words, it was a success – by taking vitamin C throughout the process he was well prepared and protected before the procedure and healed well and avoided infection afterwards. Well done, us.

On top of that, he endured it much better than I had at a slightly older age, and since the combination of a high pain threshold and a short memory is not conducive to drawing conclusions, he decided to get it all done on the second visit.

Interestingly, when I wanted to pull out all my wisdom teeth at once, I was told that no one would anesthetize me on both sides, because I would suffocate. Today, no one seems to use this argument anymore, but they are not delighted with such an idea either.

Nevertheless, Junior wanted to get it over with, so the surgeon said that he would pull out two of his teeth and then let him decide what to do next.

Deal? Deal.

Stranger Things on the TV, headphones, a surgeon that is tired of inefficient air conditioning (it was probably 140 degrees that day), a mom that is nervously trying to focus on emails on the chair next to the patient and 1.5 hours of surgery.

After two wisdom teeth were extracted, the patient said that he could get rid of one more, which was good, as it was the last one. The surgeon agreed and thus within 3 weeks, Junior got rid of four teeth, which would probably never see the light of day anyway. Phew. What a relief.

But how to survive what follows?

Of course, he again prepared by saturating the body with vitamin C and organic sulfur (saturation using the same method as in the case of infection: https://anna-bee.com/blog/nie-daj-sie-wirusom-z-witamina-c/).

This time, however, it was not so peachy in terms of pain. Ketonal did not make a difference, only Nimesil worked.

What else? People were right – whether you have one hole or three, it takes the same time to heal. The same TV series, the same granita, the same silver and vitamin, and on the third day he asked for soup, ate cabbage rolls, and generally lording it over us. 🙂

He didn’t have a fever or pus, the swelling was not severe, and the mild lockjaw bothered him for only 2-3 days.

I already had my own experience with vitamin C after a medical procedure and I expected good outcomes, but I was absolutely delighted about the speed of healing and recovery after – let’s be honest – a significant dental procedure.

Of course, I was ready to give him an antibiotic if necessary, but didn’t have to and he healed quickly and without problems. And a week later he was already in the forest pretending to be a soldier.

Again, well done, us.

That is why I encourage everyone who is planning any surgical procedure to prepare for it with large doses of vitamin C, and then support wound healing with large doses of vitamin C, preferably with the addition of MSM to rebuild collagen connections faster, and to add a good disinfectant, such as colloidal silver.

I have observed this combination up close several times and the results are amazing.

No problems during the procedure and quick healing without antibiotics and complications – what more could you want?

Junior, on the other hand, has no chance for wisdom. No even the slightest.

But at least he will be handsome. So there is nothing to complain about 🙂

taki piękny
