When I keep repeating that vitamin C can prevent coronavirus infection, protect against developing symptoms of infection, or at least helps you avoid severe viral pneumonia or even cure it, you don’t have to take my word for it. You can look at the sources that have been published for years by doctors like Dr. Klenner, Dr. Cathcart or Dr. Humphries. These clinicians have effectively used megadoses of vitamin C in their daily practice and in combating various diseases.

In the current situation of the declared epidemicand forced lockdowns, when people are losing their minds due to the paralyzing fear of the former and depressive fatigue of the latter, I am looking at the activities of another doctor – Dr. David Brownstein, known in Poland mainly for treating thyroid diseases with iodine.

To give hope to all the depressed and sick, he has recently published interviews with his patients, whom he has efficiently cured of the disease.

They offer telephone consultations, see patients in person at the clinic, and attend to those with confirmed infection in the parking lot near the clinic in their own cars. Hands with drips are sticking out of the car windows, it looks really interesting. But it is effective!

The basis of an effective therapy in a severe viral infection are high doses of antioxidants, and in the case of respiratory failure, additionally nebulizations with the addition of Lugol’s solution and hydrogen peroxide. Within 2 days, the most severe patients ‘rise from the dead’, after a few more days they are completely cured, even those over 80 years of age.

None of their patients died, none developed pneumonia, none of them ended up in hospital.

How exactly do Dr. Brownstein and his team treat people with coronavirus symptoms?

NEBULIZATION:

Nebulization fluid version with hydrogen peroxide:

3 ml saline solution

1-2 drops of hydrogen peroxide 3% (preferably diluted on your own with perhydrol)

alternating with the following version:

3 ml saline solution

1-2 drops of Lugol’s solution 5%

or just the following combined version:

3 ml saline solution

1-2 drops hydrogen peroxide

1 drop Lugol’s solution 5%

If the nebuliser solution stings the throat, it should be diluted to an acceptable level. Also, the concentration of hydrogen peroxide can be gradually built up and there are people who hardly use any dilution.

(By the way – to my knowledge colloidal silver nebulization can also be effective)

INHALATION TECHNIQUE

Inhale the mist into your lungs, hold it for 5 seconds, exhale it through your nose so that it also flows through your sinuses.

Repeat until the liquid is exhausted (or for about 5 minutes).

Link to Dr. Ng’s presentation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Us5E1yaJBE

In severe cases, they recommend repeating inhalations every hour until the dyspnea subsides.

Nebulization with iodine no more than 3 times a day, because iodine dries out the mucous membranes, which is not recommended in such a condition. Nebulization with hydrogen peroxide has no such side effects.

If any version of the nebuliser fluid causes a stinging or burning sensation, reduce the concentration of additives (iodine and/or hydrogen peroxide).

Interesting fact – both forms of nebulization fluid are also used to treat asthma and lung cancer.

SUPPLEMENTATION (in the case of severe infection or contact with a seriously ill person):

Vitamin A (important: not beta carotene)

– adults: 100,000 UI per day (except pregnant women and nursing mothers) for 4 days

– children up to 25 kg: 20,000 UI per day for 4 days

– children from 25-50 kg: 50,000 UI per day for 4 days

Vitamin D3

– adults: 50,000 UI per day for 4 days

– children up to 25 kg: 10,000 UI per day for 4 days

– children from 25-50 kg: 25,000 UI per day for 4 days

Note: unlike vitamin C, vitamins A and D are fat-soluble, can accumulate, and their levels in the body increase over time. Such high doses should not be taken for more than 4 days.

Vitamin C

5,000 – 10,000 mg per day, unless you can take more without diarrhoea

Iodine

adults: 25-100 mg per day

Children: 0.18 mg/kg body weight

In infections with fever, you should avoid taking paracetamol as much as possible, as it lowers the level of glutathione, which in turn is a key antioxidant.

Paracetamol has recently had such bad press that it is best to avoid it altogether.

You can find Dr. Brownstein’s interviews with some of his patients on his channel:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mnx9-eTYe0s&list=PL6qbj3iyyyTV94q0c8BgDyag1JjkhL6Bk

Christopher

3 weeks earlier, he started vomiting for no reason, strange diarrhea appeared. A few days later, he felt bad, he didn’t go to work, had a runny nose, cough, sore throat. He stayed at home over the weekend, ready to go to work on Monday. On Tuesday, however, he woke up in a completely different world – completely drained, feeling ill – he bare got through the day at work, came home and dropped on the sofa. It turned out that he had 39 degrees C. After a telephone medical consultation he was diagnosed as potentially infected with coronavirus and and ordered to quarantine for 14 days without any therapy, because he hadn’t experienced shortness of breath. From that moment, he considered fever to be his greatest enemy and began to take such amounts of paracetamol and ibuprofen that he began to fear for the condition of his liver. Of course, the doctors should have told him not to take any of those substances because they use up the glutathione stores in the liver and dramatically reduce immunity. But no one had told him. So, in good faith, he started weakening himself. He began to deteriorate rapidly – the temperature was off the scale, lack of smell, taste, nausea, such weakness that he could not reach for a glass of water… He felt that he was going to die either in that bed or in the emergency room, but that he is definitely going to die because no one knew how to help him nor was anyone even trying.

As a result of a series of fortunate events 4 days before this interview was recorded, Christopher had a consultation with Dr. Ng and literally rose from the dead. The doctor immediately recommended vitamin D in the morning, vitamin A in the evening, vitamin C non-stop until he was saturated, and even then some more in slightly smaller doses, as well as nebulizations with hydrogen peroxide and Lugol’s solution, which were completely new to him. After the second inhalation, he felt a great improvement, and with the subsequent inhalations his improvement was logarithmic , Dr. Ng also made him realize something he had never heard before, namely that a fever was his ally, not his enemy, because it kicks the immune system into high gear. The hotter, the better. When you get the first chills, it is best to gon into the sauna or take a hot bath with Epsom salt.

To sum up, after 4 days of such therapy, Chris is no longer staring death in the face, and during the 15-minute interview he coughed maybe twice.

All it took was the proper support for the body to completely reverse the progression of the disease in a few days.

Jeremiah

He had flu symptoms for two weeks, but he is young, takes good care of himself and knows his health, so no one worried too much about it. Then suddenly he became so weak that he had to lie down immediately, and his fever was so high that he did not get out of bed for 36 hours. Everything hurt him, his head, his muscles, but he thought it was because of the violent cough that had. He didn’t have shortness of breath yet, so he thought it was the flu that made him feel so terrible. Then the unexplained diarrhea began, the cough would not stop. After another two days, the stomach calmed down, the temperature dropped and he thought he was getting better, but he began to find it increasingly difficult to breathe. He felt that he could not take a full breath and started feeling exhausted again. After climbing one floor, his head was so dizzy that he almost fainted, and only after 30 minutes of lying down did his breathing return to normal.

The day before the interview, his breathing got worse as if he could fill his lungs to half capacity at most and that made him afraid that he could end up with pneumonia. Up to that point, he had been taking vitamin D and some kind of antiviral mixture.

Dr. Brownstein immediately recommended that he take vitamin A at 100,000 IU per day, increase the dose of vitamin D to 50,000 IU, vitamin C non-stop and iodine (minimum 50 mg per day). In addition, he recommended intensive nebulization with hydrogen peroxide (3 ml of saline + 3 ml of hydrogen peroxide 3%), which ‘opened’ his lungs after the first inhalation. At first, the mist burned his throat a little, made him cough a bit, but when it was over, he could walk around the room. An hour later, he did a second inhalation, slightly diluted, and took a hot bath in salts, and the pulse oximeter showed 100% saturation for the first time.

To sum up, after 5 nebulizations within one day, Jeremiah can breathe fully, he doesn’t feel perfect yet, but very well, his strength has returned, he has completely stopped coughing and lowered the level of anxiety that inevitably accompanies the inability to breathe.

Elizabeth

She fell ill in March. It started with terrible migraines, then weakness, dry cough and sneezing. She decided that if it was covid, she had to do something. She immediately started taking vitamin C, A, D according to the procedure described in Brownstein’s blog. Two days later, her daughter began to have similar symptoms. Both felt much better immediately after taking megadoses of vitamins, but then they ran out of vitamin A and Elizabeth felt that the disease was returning, and a few days later she felt a huge heaviness in her lungs. Her daughter also experienced severe shortness of breath. Only then did they learn about nebulization with hydrogen peroxide, but at first they inhaled only a few times. When they started to do the inhalations properly, i.e. 3 ml per person with an efficient nebulizer (because her husband was already sick at this stage), the heaviness in the lungs disappeared almost immediately.

There are more interviews, but these few already show that even a severe infection and pneumonia can be fought at home, without antibiotics, with the use of appropriate supplementation and nebulization.

It is also worth remembering that those who used aggressive supplementation immediately when the first symptoms appeared, never experience the severe shortness of breath we hear about in these stories. Vitamins A and D in large doses should not be taken for long, but vitamin C can be taken prophylactically all the time. And it’s worth it. It’s a really cheap way to prevent sickness.

Doktor Cheng from Shanghai has just told the story of a Wuhan family of six who got infected with coronavirus in January.

The oldest woman (70) developed a mild fever and general flu-like symptoms. Her daughter immediately put the whole family on large doses of vitamin C of up to 20,000 mg for herself and similar amounts for the others, except for her mother, who was not convinced. Nevertheless, she was taking about 10 grams of vitamin C per day and her condition was good. However, because of her affliction with a severe heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and a lung disease, 10 days later she went to the doctor to check if she had the virus. She was tested and diagnosed to have the novel coronavirus infection. She was then admitted to the hospital, where over the next 10 days her condition deteriorated to the point that she was put on a ventilator in the intensive care unit. Her daughter convinced the ICU chief to use intravenous vitamin C infusions by showing him the information about the results of the first clinical trial of intravenous ascorbate infusions for the treatment of Wuhan coronavirus. The ICU chief agreed to give the patient about 10,000 mg of vitamin c per day. The patient’s condition stabilized, then improved, and after 2 weeks she returned to the regular ward, where she is now expecting to be discharged after another 10 days.

The mortality rate of elderly people with such severe associated diseases in Wuhan is about 5%.

Despite her turbulent period, accompanied by a lot of wasted time, this woman will soon return home in full health.

Furthermore, the other 5 family members who had close contact with her and those who cared for her during her stay at the hospital DID NOT get sick. They most likely got infected, but none of them have shown any signs of infection so far, and it has been 2 months since the oldest woman got sick.

However, all five of them took 20 grams of vitamin C per day.

Similar stories abound. Not only from 2020 but also from 1940.

Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant.

Vitamin C reduces inflammation.

Vitamin C kills viruses.

Period.

Being unaware of the above and ignoring the experience of many doctors only to brush it all off as placebo is simply not worth it.

Your life and health are at stake here.

By not watching the news and not reading the newspapers I have been unaffected by mass panics and still somehow managed to get all the important information.

Only in the last few years we have seen bird flu, swine flu, SARS, and other things I can’t remember, and each of these ‘epidemics’ was to quickly become a pandemic and wipe out at least half of the population. However, this never happened.

Historically, the best strategy for any epidemic has always been the following:

1. hygiene (washing hands, clean water, clean clothes and bedding, ventilating the house, isolating the sick),

2. good immunity (not everyone who was exposed/infected got sick, not everyone got seriously ill, not all of the seriously ill died),

3. being away from human settlements (the largest percentage of the sick and dying was always among the poor living in overcrowded, stuffy, dirty slums that swarmed with rats and vermin – such a sight was quite common, for example, in New York at the beginning of the last century),

4. good general condition (malnutrition, deficiencies, lack of exercise, sun, fresh air – these factors are always harmful for the body).

So let’s think about the potential measures that have an antiviral effect and about things we can do to combat them effectively.

From almost a hundred years of experience of practitioners, such as Dr. Klenner, we know that vitamin C in sufficiently high doses combats viruses within a maximum of 72 hours. The doses that guarantee recovery depend on the condition of the patient and the virulence of the virus. The more severe the patient’s condition, the higher the doses should be used, but always observe the reactions and adapt accordingly.

Dr. Cathcart claimed that when admitting a patient to the hospital the doctor should first give him or her a vitamin C drip and only then think about the diagnosis. A deficiency of vitamic C has a great impact on the patient’s condition and the supplementation of vitami C can greatly influence the pace and course of recovery.

This table shows that the effective dose of vitamin C for flu is 100-150 grams per day, divided into 8-20 doses! So let’s say 5-8 grams of vitamin C every hour.

At the beginning of the month, I tested this when trying to recover from the first flu in twenty years using our successful method: 1000 mg every half hour until the symptoms subside. This time, I had to take 80,000 milligrams in a day before I saw the first signs of improvement.

What can we do to reduce the risk of coronavirus infection?

You can almost certainly do the following. If you watch the news, you may find it difficult to completely calm down, but maybe you will start feeling that you are doing something meaningful and minimizing the risk of getting sick for yourself and your family:

Take care of hygiene, with particular emphasis on washing your hands. Use ordinary soap, but be thorough.

Go out into the fresh air, even if only for a short walk or get out on the balcony during quarantine.

Ventilate you house, especially those rooms where people sleep.

Go out in the sun and build up your natural vitamin D levels (also in UVB tanning beds) or replenish it with supplements.

Eat real, live food – the less processed it is, the better for the bacteria that inhabit the body, which are the basis of our immunity.

Replenish deficiencies – during an infection, the body uses up its reserves of vitamin C and zinc. Vitamin E is also a strong antioxidant.

Avoid crowds.

Avoid white sugar, which creates a toxic environment in the intestines and, among other things, lowers immunity (it also causes sinus inflammation).

So whether it’s influenza, coronavirus, bird flu, swine flu, SARS, RSV, or other viral crap, our strategy is always the same – high doses of vitamin C prophylactically, megadoses of vitamin C during infection, supplementation of zinc, iodine, syrups with propolis, garlic, pine blossom, herbs, honey, colloidal silver…

And since stress, especially chronic stress, is not very good for health, it is better to look at the situation resonably and focus on what you can do. And you can do a lot. We are not passive observers of this performance. We can take our health into our own hands and I strongly encourage everyone to do so, especially parents of young children.

Remember:

1. not everyone who comes into contact with the virus will become infected,

2. not everyone who gets infected will get sick,

3. Not everyone who gets sick will die.

Do what you can to support your immunity and that of your loved ones.

Below is a polite version of my opinion article published in the December issue of Estilo magazine on scientific research and vitamin C. This polite version is proof that I can control my tongue. At least on the second try

On the wave of increased interest in the topic, doctors and experts have been increasingly stating that “Reseach has proven that vitamin C does not work”.

However, every time I come across an evident truism, I start to look at it carefully.

I asked myself why even doctors with professorial titles keep repeating this mantra, when already 80 years ago Dr. Klenner demonstrated beyond any doubt the extraordinary clinical efficacy of high doses of vitamin C. What new scientific research was there that invalidated the conclusions of his research and the experience of his successors in the decades that followed?

Statistics are quite easy to manipulate, and scientific research is not one hundred percent immune to such manipulation – if you choose the right criteria or sample size you can confirm any thesis proposed by the authors of a study. So I assumed that in my analysis of trials of vitamin C effectiveness, I would come across several publications with questionable methodology and it would be the conclusions from these studies that experts refer to all over the world.

I assumed that doctors, overloaded with work, only read abstracts of studies and repeat wrong conclusions simply because they do not have time to delve into the details of these studies and discover their shortcomings. What I discovered, however, were trials with the correct methodology but doses too low to achieve a therapeutic effect. Currently, the recommended daily intake of vitamin C does not exceed 100 mg and this amount helps at most to avoid an acute form of scurvy. The optimal dose that guarantees good health has not yet been established, and in clinical trials the sufficient therapeutic dose is expected to be 400 mg per day for an adult.

Why were such doses determined? Because larger amounts are considered to be completely excreted from the body. The conclusions of studies conducted under this assumption are therefore unequivocal: 400 mg of vitamin C per day has exactly the same effect on the length of a cold as a placebo.

With all due respect to placebo, which also requires serious research because it is too unusual an effect to ignore – practitioners of the use of megadoses of vitamin C know from experience that it can tremendously help shorten the duration of infections. However, this effect can’t be achieved by taking half a gram (less than 500 mg) per day.

So have higher doses been studied? It turns out that they have. They went as high as 1000 mg per day but no specific therapeutic effects were observed either. Of course, this conclusion does not surprise me at all, because during an infection we take 1000 mg every 30 minutes in order to continually add small – in our opinion – doses of vitamin C, which is quickly flushed out of the body. We want to maintain a level of vitamin C in the blood that helps us to overcome oxidative stress caused by the infection and accelerate our body’s regeneration. Even with such doses, the first symptoms of recovery are sometimes observed only after several hours of supplementation, i.e. after taking several dozen grams of ascorbic acid during a signle day! This is at least an order of magnitude more than in the experiments I have found.

So who can go higher? The Australian Centre for Epidemiology conducted a study in 1998 with a ‘megadose of vitamin C’ in its title. It starts well: a randomized, double-blind trial, a control group, seemingly everything as it should be, but the doses that were used did not exceed 3 grams per day. The experiment was therefore carried out correctly, but with the chosen doses it was doomed to fail from the very beginning. (https://www. ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11700812)

So far, I have not found studies on the effectiveness of vitamin C in the course of an infection, that would use doses higher than 3000 mg per day. Of course, I do not claim to have searched all the available literature in the world, but it seems that the papers I managed to find are a representative research sample. The conclusions of theses studies could explain the established belief among doctors that vitamin C supplementation during an infection is essentially pointless.

On the one hand, I understand the reluctance of the medical world to experiment with even higher doses of ascorbic acid, due to the fear of kidney stones (for which, by the way, there is no clear scientific evidence). At the same time, however, we have almost 100 years of detailed reports from doctors of various specialties (F. Klenner, R. Cathcart, T. Levy, P. Marik, et al.), who, using doses as high as several dozen grams per day (intravenously and orally), show both the extraordinary antiviral effectiveness of vitamin C as well as its antioxidative, antihistamine, anti-inflammatory, detoxifying properties. Not to mention the work of dr Paul Marik who has been saving lives of patients suffering from acute sepsis by using, among other things, intravenous infusions of sodium ascorbate.

Being skeptical only on the basis of doses that are too low is therefore dishonest in my opinion. At most, you can state that the effectiveness of a given level of vitamin C has not been demonstrated, but it is impossible to conclude that it does not work at all, so it is time for more trials and new conclusions. Throwing the “baby out with the bathwater” on the basis of incorrectly designed experiments, contrary to many years of reports from clinicians, does not serve anyone, least of all patients.

As with any medical procedure, there is a benefit-risk balance to consider, and the risk associated with using a few grams of vitamin C is negligible even for people with G6PD deficiency.

Therefore, I strongly encourage all those who are unconvinced to suspend their skepticism and test high doses of vitamin C on themselves when the first symptoms of the next cold appear. Autumn is conducive to infections and also to experiments: 1000 mg every 30 minutes taken as a supplement that is easily absorbed, in accordance with our tested formula, should bring about a noticeable effect on the same day (https://anna-bee.com/en/blog/beat-viruses-with-vitamin-c/) or after 3 days at the latest. Therefore, the saying that ‘an untreated cold lasts seven days whereas a treated on lasts one week’ can be consigned to the past.

Any excess vitamin C is excreted on an ongoing basis by the kidneys, intestines and liver. The experiment is simple, safe and cheap, and when it turns out to be effective, it allows you to gain a new perspective on the issues of inflammation and illness in general. In fact, there is nothing to lose, but a lot to gain. It’s worth it!

I described how to choose the right dose of vitamin C during an infection to get rid of it as quickly as possible in my post: https://anna-bee.com/en/blog/beat-viruses-with-vitamin-c/ We use this strategy for every runny nose, every Boston fever, chickenpox, every surgical procedure and tooth extraction.

It is also suggested that adults living in a polluted city should take about 4,000 mg of vitamin C per day as a preventive measure. This dose is the sum of the recommended amount of 30 mg/kg of body weight + an additional amount to help remove toxins and counteract oxidative stress, at which vitamin C excels.

But how do you determine the daily dose for someone who suffers from a chronic disease such as rheumatoid arthritis, arteriosclerosis, bleeding gums, etc.? Did you know that autopsies of people who died of a heart attack identified specific areas of the heart muscle that were suffering from local scurvy? The same deficiencies of vitamin C inside tissues are also discovered in the brains? I didn’t know that either.

So it’s best to take 1 day off, first hydrate yourself properly, and then start saturating your organism with vitamin C according to our tried and tested formula from the post about viruses or use a similar method and take 1-2 grams every 1-2 hours.

When you reach the point of vitamic C saturation in the serum, which is recognized by growling in the stomach or after the onset of diarrhoea, you then add up all the doses that you have taken and that amount should be considered the current maximum dose. In chronic diseases, we take 50-90% of this dose on a permanent basis, i.e. if our stomach started growling after 10 grams, we should take 5-9 grams on a daily basis, if it growled after 20 g, from then on we take 10-18 g, etc.

Remember, of course, that in order to maintain the highest possible concentration of ascorbic acid in the blood, we cannot take the entire dose at once, because the excess washes out too quickly. It is best to divide the planned daily dose into several smaller ones and take it at least with each meal or more often – by doing so we regularly feed the fire, so to speak, and it burns with a fairly even glow allowing the organs in need enough time to warm up

The maximum dose depends on the current condition of the body and may change depending on the situation or the attacking pathogen. This means, that each person starts with a different level of deficiency in different organs, a different diet, a different exposure to the negative effects of pollution, a different level of stress, everyone also has a slightly different weight, and this alone affects when each person reaches the saturation point.

In addition, due to the similarity of the sugar molecule to the ascorbic acid molecule, eating a lot of carbohydrates can give a premature, false symptom of saturation, so if one day you take 5 g without a problem, and the next day your stomach starts growling after 3g, consider whether you aren’t missing a few small doughnuts from the kitchen

Of course, with disorders of the intestinal flora (microbiome), this maximum level will also manifest itself earlier, but rather than a symptom of true saturation, it is a symptom of intestinal hypersensitivity, which should be addressed first.

Dr. Suzanne Humphries says that she takes 2-4000 mg of vitamin C on a daily basis, but when she travels and is exposed to constant stress, fatigue, dry air on the plane, etc., she can easily tolerate doses of 20-30000 mg per day. The maximum required daily dose cannot be predicted in advance, although Dr. Klenner recommended a preventative dose of 1 gram per year of life for children up to 10 years of age, and then 10 grams every day. A range of doses make sense as a guideline

I highly recommend Dr. Suzanne Humphries’ entire lecture on vitamin C, or at least the description of the procedure she presents, which I summarized above.

She also provides a list of situations that potentially increase the need for vitamin C:

– excessive exposure to the sun or radiation,

– polluted air (smog),

– contact with chemicals,

– alcohol (more than 1 drink a day), drugs, smoking (each cigarette burns 25 mg of vitamin C),

– travel, especially by plane (dry air, lots of germs).

Her list also include constipation and she claims that it is an early sign of vitamin C deficiency (scurvy), She claims that in all cases, increasing the daily dose of vitamin C invariably improves bowel function and helps regulate it much more effectively than prunes or psyllium, which most people hate anyway.

I am tempted to observe that the same applies to determining the individual dose of organic sulfur or MSM. We can follow the guidelines set out in various procedures or resulting from our own experience (for example, I know that in order for my wrists and knees to stop hurting, I have to catch up with 6,000 mg of MSM per day for at least 2 weeks), but we can also determine our own maximum dose and stick to it for several weeks or even months until we achieve remission or complete improvement of the condition of the joints or the cessation of other ailments caused by sulfur deficiency.

As a reminder – 1 teaspoon (5 ml) of Anna Bee C syrup contains 1000 mg of vitamin C.

Time 0

What a nightmare What a mess A large vinegar jar cracked in my hands and a sizable chunk cut off two of my fingertips.

Instead of meeting with a nice gentleman, who was on his way with a nice machine for testing, I was looking at the growing puddle of blood and the two pieces of skin hanging by a thread and wondering what to do next.

I didn’t know it yet but I had unwittingly classified myself in the ‘transplant’ category.

I called the nice gentleman to postpone the meeting for later, then I called my Husband and asked him to clean the mess, and finally I called 911 to hear that the ambulance paramedics would only wrap my hand. I wrapped it myself in boiled dishcloths and with my hand raised under the headliner, slightly trembling, I set off to the nearest ER.

I parked using only my left hand on the lawn, hoping my car wouldn’t get towed right away.

Because I was bleeding profusely while standing against the wall in the queue and my face looked grim and scared, they admitted me very quickly and were very nice.

The general consensus was reached promptly – the hanging pieces of skin will fall off, there is no point in sewing it on, at best they can make a transplant from another part of the body but not before consulting the surgeon who is currently operating and will be available who knows when.

In the meantime, they started cutting my wedding ring, which heated up to such a temperature that the only thing that saved me was a freeze spray. All in all it was pretty fun.

I also learned that hydrogen peroxide is great for dissolving dried blood. The rescuers generously poured it over every piece of unwrapped wound dressing (and someone always came to look at it), for which I was deeply grateful. For the pouring. For looking at it too.

After 2.5 hours of unwrapping and wrapping the bandages, a very nice surgeon appeared, who told me that it would heal nicely and we are going to sew it.

The staff was surprised but apparently they had the specialist in high regard because no one protested.

I breathed a sigh of relief because I would take anything over a transplant.

The surgeon started sewing, and I immediately discovered how many nerves there are in the tips of my fingers. A very, very large amount. The surgeon sewed and anesthetized, I screamed and kicked, he kept apologizing, I writhed, he anesthetized subsequent points, I kept shouting and demanding to know how much of a psychopath he was. You know… A typical afternoon at the ER. We all had a good time and after half an hour the surgeon finished and was pleased with himself.

He also didn’t blame me for kicking because he told me to lie down and sat right next to me. Not my fault!

Since about 90% of both fingertips were cut off, we could not be sure that such a laced autograft would be accepted. The surgeon (a really wonderful person) told me to go home and return in a few hours, when he would decide whether the skin is turning pink or I am undergoing surgery at night.

What if I don’t want a transplant? He said the regrowth of the fingertips would be a long, painful, potentially festering process and not worth the trouble in his opinion.

OK, so I rushed home and immediately started doing everything I could think of to help the blood flow and the acceptance of my own skin asap!

I immediately gobbled a few tablespoons of Anna Bee C MSM, plus a glass of our homemade colloidal silver (about 10 ppm) and directly afterwards started a tissue regeneration program on the cold laser mode of the Rife Spooky2 machine, which I had just bought for a completely different purpose.

In the evening I returned to the ER and the surgeon smiled (didn’t I say he was wonderful?) – he said it looked very nice (although in my opinion it looked like the fingers of a dying Frankenstein) and gave me 2 more days of hope for a non-transplant.

Skin after transplantation

So for the next 2 days I took the following in excess:

– Anna Bee C MSM (for collagen reconstruction, oxygenation and infection prevention) – probably a glass a day without symptoms of saturation in the form of stomach ailments,

– our handmade ionic silver approx. 10 ppm – 3-4 glasses a day,

– iodine, selenium, Concentrace complex of full-spectrum minerals – as usual, only more, especially more Lugol,

– fermented cod liver oil in capsules,

– evening primrose oil (my BFF for faster skin renewal and reduced inflammation),

– my very strong Bigbanger syrup with propolis, pine extract, garlic, cloves and a whole lot of anti-inflammatory ingredients.

So, in short, I focused on preventing infection and providing the body with materials to rebuild tissue.

In addition, I soaked my fingers in silver with 3 drops of my 10% Lugol’s liquid, lavender essential oil and Concentrace (because oils dissolve nicely in salt water) and continued various tissue regeneration programs using the Spooky2 cold laser.

On my way out from the ER I got a prescription for two antibiotics. I bought a meds, but I decided to postpone the decision to take them until I saw the first symptoms of a possible infection. I’m not a gambler, but with my planned doses of silver, vitamin C, Lugol’s, propolis, there should be no infection.

I’ll keep watch like a hawk and if need by, I’ve got everything at my fingertips.

And this is where our picture series begins (let the weak in spirit close their eyes while reading).

Day 2

During the check-up at the clinic, another surgeon says that everything is going in the right direction, but it’s too early to decide about the transplant. He tells to wait another week and prescribes wound dressings with silver and by saying this he immediately wins my heart. He recommends changing them every 2 days, but I use laser therapy and soaking at least 2 times a day, so I weave the ritual of changing the wound dressing into my daily schedule.

At this stage, I take high doses of what I described above and for faster regeneration of nerve connections, I also add a decent B-complex, lecithin and choline.

I also wonder if a sterile silver dressing that I dropped onto the floor is still usable. Cowardly, I decide not to risk it

A right-handed person who suddenly becomes left-handed discovers some obvious things that previously went unnoticed. A single hand not only can’t clap, but also can’t cut a bandage, spread butter on bread, paint the eyelashes…

But it can drink a good coffee in a good cafe!

Day 8

I discover that obeying surgeons does not always pay off.

Because of laser therapy and soaking in silver, I have so far changed the wound dressings 1-2 times a day, while the recommendation was to change it once every 2 days. Thus far everything has been healing so beautifully that I decided to let it go for one day, I unwrap the bandage and I see that the stitches are covered in green! This meant a quick return to the methods of disinfection known to me for their effectiveness, i.e. soaking the wound in silver and such an amount of Lugol’s solution 10% (about 20 drops per small glass of silver) that my fingers turned black

No matter.

The next day, there was no trace of the pus.

Since that incident, I no longer listen to recommendations, I change dressings – silver or non-silver – at least once a day.

In addition to having to use my left hand, another difficulty are new scabs that are constantly forming, so I am reluctant to unwrap the dressings, because I do not like to re-injure the wounds and tear the sewn-in skin. In this case, however, the knowledge acquired in the ER comes to my aid, where I learned that it’s easiest to unwrap wound dressings after soaking them in hydrogen peroxide, which is perfect for dissolving blood. The paramedics at the ER pour bucketfuls of it and it does dissolve blood beautifully, even the dried blood on the floor (oh yes, I left quite an impression there

 ).

What previously looked like Frankenstein’s work is now really starting to resemble the skin of a human that did not rise from the grave.

Day 12

After the typical indelicate removal of the old dressing performed by the nurse, who clearly hates her work and has made it a point of honor to prove to surgical patients that they are wimps, the surgeon in the clinic whistled with delight and ordered the stitches to be removed. It was supposed to be after a month, but not even two weeks have passed. As far as I know, removing stitches does not hurt so it’ll be over soon. I feel happy until the nurse starts tugging at each thread and (really!) trying to saw it off with a scalpel. Each. Single. Thread. And there are 14 of them on an area of several cm. I complain to her that she could be more gentle but then I just grit my teeth waiting for it to end. Mistake! When she takes off the last one, I suddenly feel like I’m about to pass out, and I’m not the fainting type. Well done, lady! Given the fact that she sat me in front of a huge window through which solar heat was entering and I came straight from a funeral with an empty stomach, it was a perfect combo. I mutter under my breath that I’m about to collapse and the staff suddenly shows a human face. I am escorted to a hospital bed, I am not supposed to get up, but I can have a drink of water. Like in America.

Somehow I got home, but then after a few days I discovered that the nurse had missed one more stitch and I knew that I would sooner bite it out with my third molars than put my life into her tender hands again. I started pulling it out with tweezers, but it wouldn’t budge. There was more and more blood until finally I felt faint again and gave up. I decided that the lady was right after all – I am a wimp. I soaked my hand in silver and resignedly wrapped it in dressing.

Thank God the next day I had an appointment with a gynecologist. I thought – he’s a human being who likes to operate, so he can probably remove stitches as well.

He said he would.

My hand was shaking so much that I turned my head so as not to disturb him. The doctor struggled for a few minutes, and then suddenly it was all over. I DIDN’T FEEL A THING! And as it turned out, this stitch was very deep and tied twice, so the more I tried to pull it out at home, the more I was ripping it out.

So you can remove a difficult stitch without causing pain and you can also make a person’s life miserable with fourteen simple stitches.

I am describing this in such detail for educational purposes and as a warning:

count the stitches that they put on or ask the surgeon to count them – this may be important when removing them,

protest if you think that the procedure of removing them is sadistic,

If the procedure is sadistic, get up and leave – you can go to any private clinic, nurse, gynecologist (sic!) and do it in a humane way, even if you have to pay 100 PLN.

If I had known this earlier, I probably wouldn’t have allowed anyone to torment me.

Day 13

According to the recommendation of the surgeon from the clinic, I incorporate lubrication in my daily wound hygiene to make the scars more elastic.

I prepare a mixture based on cold-pressed, organic hemp and evening primrose oil, with the addition of Copaiba balm, frankincense and lavender oils, which accelerate healing and reduce scars. I keep it in the fridge and lubricate my fingers before each laser therapy (still 2-3 times a day).

Spooky2 cold laser – a program that accelerates tissue regeneration

In a fit of madness, I also decide to dip my fingers in Anna Bee C syrup: honey is great for wounds (it disinfects and promotes healing), raspberries are used to make face masks, and vitamin C and MSM speak for themselves. The idea turns out to be a home run because after washing off (not licking off!) the syrup, the skin becomes very soft and well moisturized. Then I put on it my hemp mixture, which today I would enrich by adding CBD drops, do a round of laser therapy and wrap it in impressively large band-aids.

Since that moment I wear white puppets on my fingers

Day 31

Whether it’s because of the large amounts of iodine or just the healing process, the sewn-in fingertip patches begin to turn into a crust and slowly, painlessly come off, revealing brand-new, healed skin underneath.

I still soak in Anna Bee C syrup, silver, Lugol’s (which turns my fingers yellow and my scabs black ) and treat with a lubricating mixture comprising essential oils. It’s fine.

Day 50

The swelling does not go down.

The surgeon in the clinic says that it’s fine and tells me to come back in 3 months.

He says that if the swelling does not go down by then, ‘we will see’.

I decide not to ‘see’, but start looking for information on the Internet. I find an American clinic that aids in accepting grafts after burns by using pressure dressings and I start (without much success) to look for suitable band-aids. Every day I wrap my puppets with what I managed to buy and the swelling actually decreases, but shortly after unwrapping it returns to its enormous size.

I keep searching.

Day 57

On the recommendation of my Wise Friends, I go to a Wise Angiologist.

Thewise Angiologist, says that these are severed lymphatic vessels and he highly recommends pressure bandages and for the first time in his life he would recommend leeches. Straight from his office, I go to order compression finger sleeves, for which I wait about two weeks, and then my life becomes much easier.

The sleeves compress everything properly, I can function normally with them on, even swim in the sea, and they look extremely impressive when I put on a blue dress :))))

compression sleeves to reduce swelling

I’m still considering leeches, maybe I’ll finally give in because it’s supposedly a very good idea.

I also expect that they are more effective earlier after the injury, but this is knowledge for a potential non-future.

The sleeves do work and after 5 months the fingertips are clearly smaller, but the contracture of the fingers does not decrease. An osteopath explains to me that such skin patches are no different from badly sewn patches in clothing – they pull unevenly in strange directions. To complicate matters, it’s no not only the skin that pulls, but also the stitched parts underneath – nerves, muscles, vessels, etc. He recommends buying a super-soft brush and brushing the skin of my fingers in all directions so as to stimulate the reconstruction of collagen connections that form a mesh (hence brushing in different directions). My dentist confirmed that she used this method for her c- section scar and that after a month it looked as if it was already six months old and even became concave.

Okay, I buy the softest toothbrush there is and start caressing.

The first impression is tingling in the distant parts of the hand, actually up to the shoulder. I caress from every side in every direction, also in places where it tingles and goes numb. It turns out to be a very good strategy, because day by day the tingling is less distant, and after a week or so I manage to stretch my fingers without difficulty and pain.

By then, however, I’m so bored with having to use such a small area of bristles that I reach for a baby head brush. And? Bingo! There is probably nothing softer and more effective for surfaces and at the same time reasonably priced.

And all this because this brush stimulation is best when performed often. In real life – if it is to be often, it must be short. And to keep it short, it has to cover everything at once. And there it is. And it works spectacularly.

reduced swelling after skin transplantation

It’s just been 7 months and I’m still considering leeches

I had to send the sleeves back to the manufacturer because they stretched, but the company is German, decent, so they should send me new ones soon.

I still have trouble carrying heavy things due to the over-sensitivity of two fingers.

I should keep brushing them, but I forget because my fingers stretch fully and I rarely remember.

As for new discoveries – I lubricate my fingertips with 10% CBD oil (and sometimes 30% CBD paste) to accelerate the regeneration of nerve connections. The general feeling when touching the skin patches resembles touching a huge blister caused by the rubbing of the skin on your foot, but I am starting to feel the skin on the surface slightly, which is an unexpected change.

I’ll also try:

normobaric chamber (it has excellent reviews in terms of accelerating regeneration processes),

Chinese acupuncture,

and those scary leeches

I will keep you updated!

And when I was trying on the new, smaller finger pressure sleeves (https://www.medi-polska.pl/), the nurse couldn’t stop admiring how beautifully it all healed and how beautifully the swelling shrinks. I also have the impression that I am slowly starting to regain feeling in my skin patches. So it seems that my crazy treatments are not entirely pointless after all

We pride ourselves on the fact that Anna Bee’s C is an absolutely unique syrup: we make it by hand from Polish raspberries and honey straight from beehives that are set up in a clean area. The syrup is one hundred percent raw, produced at low temperature, unpasteurized and without any preservatives. When it comes to bioavailability, Anna Bee C is second to none. It also trumps other preparations with vitamin C because of its taste, dose (1000 mg of vitamin C in 5 ml) and gentleness for the stomach.

This syrup is alive, full of beneficial bacteria, enzymes, vitamins, minerals, pollen and all the goodness that comes from bees, so we store it in the fridge regardless of whether the bottle has been opened or not, because (let me just remind you) it’s ‘alive, natural, raw, unpasteurized, produced at low temperature’….

All this means, however, that Anna Bee C is a bit… Unpredictable. We set the expiry date to 3 months from the date of production, but depending on the season, water content in raspberries, transport temperature and factors that sometimes seem completely random, occasionally the syrup activates a little earlier. First it starts to separate, then it bubbles, sometimes it seeps out from under the cork, with time it fades a bit, etc…

It really doesn’t pretend, it lives life to the fullest.

In the photo above, you can see a row of bottles with the same batch poured on the same day into the same sterilized bottles, and stored in identical conditions. On a hot day, I took the bottles for a ride to the fair and back, kept them in a hot trunk and this disrespectful treatment pertained to all bottles without exception. So why does the syrup on the left look as if nothing had happened, the syrup in the bottles in the middle has only separated, and the one in the bottle on the right has partially bubbled out and seeped out from under the cap? I have no idea, but I really respect this inner life and bow down to its unpredictability.

Because bioactivity is nothing bad or harmful. Even if the syrup changes its color, smell or structure a bit over time, it will not want to spoil. It will bubble, activate, ferment over time, it will be different, but it will still not be poisonous.

How does this happen? It’s quite simple – the syrup consists mostly of two preservatives, which is real honey and ascorbic acid. Out of curiosity we tested a 14-month-old sample, which had already seeped out from under the cork ten times, and it did not contain pathogenic bacteria and, apart from a slightly increased amount of lactic acid bacteria, it was still suitable for consumption. It was definitely suitable for me because of course I needed to drink it. And I was fine

Our bottle of Anna Bee C for everyday use is always on the kitchen counter. We only keep reserve supplies in the fridge. The syrup does not spoil in heat, but it activates about a month after the day of production. We don’t mind it at all, because we consume loads of it so we only store the reserves in the cold. However, this also means that if the bottles need to spend a few days in the heat during transport, the syrup will not be harmed, at most it will activated a bit sooner than the date written on the label. No big deal.

However, because we love it when Anna Bee C is as fresh as possible, in the summer we do not ship it on Fridays so as not to unnecessarily warm up the bottles in sorting plants over the weekend.

Some time ago, our friends ‘found’ a bottle of ‘Anna Bee C wine’ that was over six months old in the depths of their fridge, just when they needed to quickly recover from an infection. They told us that the wine was delicious and as effective as fresh syrup.

However, we advise against stocking up, but at the same time we are aware that the standards of supplements which can be stored on shelves for years can cause a small surprise when reading the suggested expiration date on the back of our bottle. We are also aware of shipping costs and we understand the desire not to multiply them unnecessarily. We also think about the hundreds of liters of fuel burned every day by couriers, sometimes perhaps needlessly.

So we keep looking for ways to extend the shelf life of Anna Bee C, but so far we have not found a method that would allow us to preserve all of its beneficial properties.

EXCEPT FOR ONE – freezing!

As it turned out, Anna Bee C can be easily frozen, even in a bottle! Honey doesn’t really expand so even the half-liter bottle that I froze was completely unaffected.

However, I think a better idea is to pour smaller portions into zip-lock bags and defrost them one by one as you need it.

Stuffing such contraband in the freezer is a great method for sudden attacks of a virus when you don’t have a single drop of the syrup at hand, which happens more often than we would like to admit.

It is best to defrost the syrup slowly in the fridge, because it will behave nicely for another month. Then it will start to go crazy, but – let me remind you again – it will not become poisonous, only … less insanely awesome

I am writing all this for two reasons:

1. so that you are not afraid when Anna Bee C starts to ferment, separate and bubble ‘ahead of time’ or if a bottle gets lost somewhere for a long time, or remains forgotten on the counter in a warm kitchen,

2. so that you are aware that ‘old’ Anna Bee C, although still potent, is a completely different beast than fresh Anna Bee C, which is why we produce it in small batches and actually never sell syrup that is older than 1.5 months. We want it to reach you as fresh as possible, full of strength and goodness from honey and raspberries, so we recommend buying it fresh or freezing your supplies.

To sum up:

1. if the Anna Bee C is stored in the refrigerator, for the first 3 months from the day of production it should be polite and intensely pink, although there is a good chance that in the third month it will start to separate,

2. if, due to warm transport or unpredictable internal life, Anna Bee C starts to bubble before the date described on the back of the label, it is most likely still full-fledged (just try it – if it tastes good, it is good),

3. to extend the shelf life, Anna Bee C can be frozen and then defrosted when you need it and you can’t afford to wait for the new order to arrive.

In this clever way, you can outsmart time and stock up on syrup that has a relatively short expiration date. Checkmate, nature!
The post How to extend the expiry date of Anna Bee’s C? first appeared on Anna BEE.

On my tenth wedding anniversary, I had a fender bender – I stopped at a pedestrian crossing to let a women with children cross the road, and two cars hit me from behind. It did not seem terrible, no one called an ambulance or the police, but that day marked the beginning of radical changes in my life, and there was not festive dinner.

The impact strained my spine in several sections (cervical, thoracic, lumbar), as well as my right shoulder, which I learned about 6 months later after stopping painkillers and relaxants.

At first, I could hardly move my neck so I got a referral for lasers, currents and cryotherapy. After the second series of treatments, which did absolutely NOTHING, the doctor spread her hands, said that I had accelerated my aging by 10 years and she could no longer help me. Thank God for my friends who referred me to a physiotherapist!

Manual therapy unblocked my neck and increased the mobility of other sections of my spine. It took many months and after some time I reached a wall but at least there were some effects compared to lasers

The downside of this method was that it did not eliminate pain. After a few years, I decided that I would have to live with this until I died.

The damaged shoulder had significantly limited mobility, it clicked and hurt so much that in the worst periods I changed gears with my left hand. In the meantime, I also gave birth to a baby, and because I couldn’t lie on my right side, I had to feed it at night sitting down. A terrible experience. Not to mention that I had to carry it with one hand.

So I am permanently in pain, I struggle because of real limitations in caring for a newborn, I live with the awareness that medically speaking, there is nothing more that can be done for me except regular physiotherapy for the rest of my life, and then suddenly I learn that my joints have the ability to regenerate. Really, why didn’t anyone tell me that before??

So I start digging and searching and I find out that the joints need collagen and magnesium above all. So I look for collagen with magnesium in liquid form from Finclub and start drinking twice the recommended dose. I don’t think much about it when one day, after a month of supplementation, I suddenly realize that I slept on my right side!

Something that hadn’t happened for two years suddenly happened without me noticing it.

I examine the mobility of the joint – it is much better, does not click and does not shift when raising the arm above the head. In a word, SHOCKING, UNEXPECTED SUCCESS!

However, I didn’t like the composition of this Finclub collagen, packed with sugar and preservatives, and since I can’t find a comparable product with a better composition, I look for other solutions.

It turns out that collagen can be supplied quite naturally in the form of the so-called bone soup, and because it is an amino acid produced by humans, if you provide the body with the right form of sulfur (MSM), it will produce it on its own, in the best form (there are several of them) and will immediately start repairing itself.

It sounds like a fairy tale, but does my it now make sense that I constantly express my love for sulphur

This love began when I made ABC MSM syrup for my own needs, started drinking it to maintain the effect achieved by collagen supplementation and I felt better and better with each passing day. Because in this version of ABC I combined MSM with vitamin C in a 1:1 ratio to achieve the maximum bioactive and oxygenating effect, while the raw form of the syrup with honey made its bioavailability higher than any other available supplement.

After about 2 months, my shoulder stopped hurting completely, it never crunched again, and I was again able to feed my daughter in my sleep; I also didn’t have to parade around covered with blue tapes, or change gears, or try to cut vegetables with my left hand When it comes to my shoulder – I regained full control!

As for the rest of the spine, it was much better, although the multi-level discopathy meant that the pain did not leave me, especially after exercising.

I started going to an osteopath and found another reason for happiness – osteopathy is a method related to physiotherapy, but it focuses on a slightly different task: to find a point of tension, relax it, leave it alone and give the body a chance to repair itself.

This method turned out to be really effective, and in addition, you go to the osteopath at most once a week, while in the case of physiotherapy I had to reserve several hours a day, e.g. for 10 days in a row in repeated cycles. I breathed a sigh of relief, I started to sleep better, the headaches disappeared.

Of course, my spine was still unstable, even if only slightly, and the pressure on the nerves and bulges were a constant nag, but I was no longer a slave to the physiotherapy clinic and I felt much better than I had ever felt since the accident.

I never returned to the shape I had before the accident, but after about 2 months of supplementation, the nourished shoulder was actually like new and did not deteriorate for several years, and I only visit the osteopath maybe 2 times a year.

That’s why we drink it at home every day, as a preventive measure, and when my wrists and knees start to hurt, I know that I’ve neglected myself and I need to replenish my sulfur reserves. Then I treat myself with a few tablespoons of MSM syrup a day and after two weeks I feel better.

With regular supplementation we also take advantage of the additional benefits of organic sulfur combined with vitamin C, i.e. nutrition of joints and vertebral discs, and thus rejuvenation of the entire osteoarticular system and prevention of degeneration, which – as it turns out – can be postponed to later old age. We cannot overlook the favorable side effects in the form of better oxygenation, greater respiratory efficiency during exercise, which is important especially for athletes, improved digestion, skin condition, sealing of mucous membranes (important especially for allergy sufferers), strengthening immunity… Given the fact that sulfur is present in every cell of the body, we can find dozens of diseases that are caused by its deficiency, so it is difficult to estimate how many ailments can be eliminated by a constant, daily supply, including improved digestion.

To sum up my story, after the accident I went through:

1. cryotherapy, magnets, currents, lasers, bells and whistles – completely ineffective, and I started opposing the idea of blowing a -10000000000 degree gas from a pipe onto my bare back. At the end I came to the treatments in a down jacket and eventually skipped the last few treatments :). Solux brought a relief from pain, but that’s probably it when it comes to these methods,

2. manual physiotherapy and exercises – within a few weeks they helped me regain neck mobility, unblocked the thoracic spine a bit, but were least helpful for the lumbar spine (I think pregnancy and breastfeeding did not help),

3. osteopathy – all in all, cheap, not burdensome, with good, long-term effects on the whole body.

However, for the shoulder with rotator cuff calcification, MSM supplementation brought the most effective and fastest relief – the fed body healed it so quickly that I couldn’t believe it.

It was only 4 months after the accident that I went to a real physiotherapist and it was 3 months too late, so the physiotherapy that followed had to deal with much greater calcifications and tensions than if I had started right after the neck brace was removed. I wore the stiff collar for a month and I also have a suspicion that it was too long, it weakened my muscles excessively, and my neck is long.

If I had such an accident today, I would IMMEDIATELY go to an osteopath and IMMEDIATELY take large doses of MSM and bone soup, trotters in jelly, etc. I would also definitely bathe every day in salts with a full spectrum of minerals (Kłodawa, pink) and necessarily with Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) to help relax my muscles and efficiently replenish magnesium deficiencies.

We laugh that ABC is the kind of syrup that grandparents buy for their grandchildren for immunity, and ABC MSM is the kind of syrup that grandchildren buy for their grandparents for their joints, but the truth is that if you do sports, sweat out minerals intensively, if you suffer from problems related to joint degeneration or want to avoid them – MSM is your best friend.

In this post, you will read about the ailments that can be alleviated by organic sulfur supplementation and in this one about MSM dosage.

How to quickly beat viruses at the beginning of an infection?
In short:
1. on the first symptoms, take: 1 teaspoon of Anna’s Bee C (1,000 mg vitamin C) every 30 minutes to bowel tolerance;
2. having reached the maximum dose: 1 teaspoon every hour or 1/2 teaspoon every 30 minutes;
3. after all symptoms pass: keep the dose moderately high for at least 2-3 days, otherwise the infection might quickly return.

When it comes to small kids (children younger that 12 months should not eat honey) can take half of that dose, but as ofetn as described above. Vitamin C serum level drops by 50% every hour, so in order to keep it optimally high, it’s most effective to keep adding small but frequent doses.

The point of bowel tolerance (sign of serum saturation) depends on the actual condition of the organism and may drastically differ from infection to infection, even in the same person. My stomach can start gurgling after 6 grams one day, and be absolutely still after 16,000 mg with the next infection! You can’t predict that, you can only experiment.

With such an effective counterattack, viruses are usually withdrawing within a day.
When it comes to a more vicious virus than that of common cold (like chickenpox or HFMD) our kids were well after 72 hours. So it’s really worth starting the fight as early as possible and with unshaken relentlessness.

I know your pain!
I know that feeling when you wake up in the morning, touch your child’s forhead, feel the heat and immediately cross out all your tasks for the week or two. I know what it’s like to reschedule meetings at midnight, hastily text and email people that sorry, you can’t make it today… And all those horrible chains when one child contracts the virus from another and the vision of staying at home for the rest of your life glooms constantly in your head.
I have four kids with immune deficiencies. Such visions in my life have been far too many

But I’ve found a way. Not a panaceum, but it helps enough so our children get sick less often and for a much shorter time. Think about it – if you can cut the infection within a day, it’s a good enough solution, isn’t it? And if you can shorten the already blown illness to 2-3 days, it’s not bad, right?
So I do this:
AS PREVENTION I give my kids a few grams of vitamin C per day. Sometimes more, sometimes less, like it is in nature, without a crazy regime. A splash of Anna’s Bee C into a glass of cool juice/tea/sparkling water twice a day and there it is. As long as the general rule of ‘as many grams as years’ and ‘every adult resident of a polluted city should take at least 4,000 mg of vitamin C per day’ is on the horizon, it’s a good direction. Mind you, I don’t give my teenagers 15000 mg per day, because I don’t feel it’s prophylactically necessary.
Let’s say that as prevention I give my younger kids roughly 2,000 mg vit c per day and 4,000 mg to my teenagers.
I up the dose in times of widespread infections – I watch their reactions and draw conclusions. There’s no iron rule here – mom’s knowledge of her own children, intuition and observation are the best guide.

VIAMIN C DOSAGE ON THE FIRST SIGNS OF INFECTION
At the beginning of an infection, however, the rule becomes strict, no matter the age: 1 teaspoon of Anna’s Bee C every 30 minutes for a start, until bowel tolerance shows the saturation point (you can halve the dose for smaller kids).
The point of vitamin C saturation in the body is indicated by the digestive tract’s response – when the stomach starts growling like a mad dog, bowels gurgle or you get a diarrhea it’s a sign that the kidneys can no longer catch up with the excess of ascorbic acid in your system and the intestines come to aid. And it’s actually a good sign. It means that you’ve reached a maximum level of vitamin C in your bloodstream – antioxidants help fight off viruses, speed up the process of regeneration and coming around.
At this point we halve the dose: either by taking half as much of the syrup or taking it half as often. So if you’ve been giving your child 1 gram of vitamin C every 30 minutes (literally with alarm on), now you give them either 1 gram every or 500 mg every 30 minutes. From now on the diarrhea doesn’t bother us, but we watch the child like a hawk and concentrate on proper hydration. Within a few more hours the symptoms should start going away, but we never-ever stop taking vitamin C immediately after we feel good, because our body needs extra stock of vitamin c to regenerate and strengthen. We keep giving the syrup in a larger-than-everyday dose still for at least a day or two, so that the virus can’t easily come back and ruin our spirits.

VITAMIN C DOSAGE IN A FULL-BLOWN INFECTION
It’s not as easy when you begin fighting a few hours or even a few days after infection struck. The later you start your counterattack, the longer the fight, but in any case you still can usually cut the illness by half! The additional bonus is that you can avoid post viral complications, so it’s a win-win situation.

Of course, there might come a time when it’s all insufficient and you finally need to go to the doctor. It’s life, not a fairy tale. That’s why I can’t stress enough how important observation and sound mind is. I, however, no longer run to the clinic every time my kids have a running nose, or I’d have to start a camp in the waiting room If I can quickly do the counterattack at home, I do that. And it really works great.

There’s a saying that a treated cold lasts seven days, and untreated – a week, but our colds no longer last beyond 3. We haven’t seen a doctor in a long while, we haven’t been to the hospital for even longer.

Of course, I do more things to keep my family generally healthy, but this one vitamin c thing brought our life comfort to such a level I didn’t expect was even achievable to us. It also saved us a ton of money not paid for doctor’s visits, tests, prescription drugs, hospital visits and absence from work.
It’s definitely worth it.
