<p>Our <a href="https://anna-bee.com/en/blog/the-genesis-of-anna-bee-c-bioactive-raw-syrup-with-a-megadose-of-vitamin-c/">whole adventure with vitamin C</a> began with chickenpox, but because of how surprised I was with the effectiveness of the treatment at the time I did not make photographic documentation and decided to postpone the detailed post about the use of vitamin C in viral childhood diseases.</p>
<p>However, as it happens every spring, another wave of chickenpox swept across Poland and I managed to get photos from a Mother of Three, who used <a href="https://anna-bee.com/en/blog/beat-viruses-with-vitamin-c/">our standard viral procedure</a>.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>In our case, the whole thing was over in 3 days, and in their case it went like this:</p>
<p><em><strong>Day 0 – no blisters yet, general weakness and whining.</strong></em></p>
<p><em><strong>Day I – mild fever, fatigue, weakness, a few blisters – in the evening we started to give vitamin C (often and a lot).</strong></em></p>

<p><em><strong>Day II – the peak of the rash, blisters also appeared in the ears, on the tongue&#8230;</strong></em></p>
[still a lot of vitamin and administered often, without symptoms of diarrhea, plus baths in baking soda to reduce itching and application of liquid powder on blisters, just like in our childhood]
<p><em><strong>Day IV – blisters slowly turn into scabs (the white stuff is powder, not pus), the mood is definitely better, without fever.</strong></em></p>

<p><em><strong>Day VI – only scabs, a visit to the doctor, diagnosis – healthy child, certainly not contagious <span style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f642.png" alt="🙂" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /></span></strong></em></p>
<p><strong>In the meantime, I gave ABC to younger children, who after about 2 weeks caught chickenpox: there was much fewer blisters, they felt much better than in my sister&#8217;s case (they had one day of debility). Somehow it went so smoothly that I didn&#8217;t even take pictures of them&#8230; <span style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f641.png" alt="🙁" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /></span> – on the 5th day we were at the doctor&#8217;s office – the patient was healthy.</strong></p>

<p><strong>2. HFMD</strong></p>
<p>Shortly after this report, I was surprised to find out that youngest daughter had caught HFMD for the second time. I didn&#8217;t know it was even possible, but when I saw the rash on her feet and hands, I immediately knew what to do.</p>
<p><a href="https://anna-bee.com/en/blog/beat-viruses-with-vitamin-c/">HFMD can be beat with vitamin C</a> in exactly the same way as any other viral infection, I gave her a lot of ABC and often, until the response from the digestive system indicating that the body is saturated, then I kept giving her smaller doses less frequently, but still &#8216;a lot and often&#8217; until the symptoms disappear, and then a little more, so that the weakened body is not immediately hit by a new infection.</p>
<p>On the first day, HFMD is still mild:</p>

<p>I have good reasons to I encourage you to keep <a href="https://anna-bee.com/en/blog/how-to-extend-the-expiry-date-of-anna-bees-c/">a reserve of ABC</a> in the freezer in case of an emergency. We ship packages efficiently, but you will usually have to wait 1-2 days if you order when the first symptoms of infection appear. It&#8217;s better to have at least one 100 ml ziplock bag in the freezer and have the option to administer the syrup immediately when something pops up – then the whole thing simply takes less time and the disease won&#8217;t have time to develop.</p>
<p>And to state the obvious, it is worth giving vitamin C at the same time to all household members that are at risk of getting sick, because while it&#8217;s worthwhile to have smallpox once and be done with for the rest of your life, it is equally worthwhile to make sure it&#8217;s as mild as possible. With help from <a href="https://anna-bee.com/shop/suplementy/miod-malina-witamina/">vitamin C</a>, chickenpox and HFMD are dealt with really quickly. And then, at least when it comes to smallpox, active antibodies are there forever and you never have to think about it again. <p>I hope that these photos will eliminate any doubts about what disease your children have, and even if these doubts appear, it is always a good idea to shield yourself with vitamin C right away, even if you are not yet sure what exactly is developing. The sooner the counterattack begins, the shorter the illness lasts.</p>

<p>Apparently, we all have magnesium deficiencies. Apart from being on the verge of death, such deficiency will not be shown by a blood test, but you can spot it by inexplicably tense muscles, chronic fatigue, problems with concentration, irregular heartbeat, various strange pains, mood swings and general tension (including PMS), inability to focus, ADHD, depression, migraines, skin problems (including <a href="https://anna-bee.com/en/blog/how-i-beat-my-atopic-dermatitis-eczema/">AD</a>), problems with sleep, digestion, bowel movements&#8230; Magnesium is involved in so many processes that its deficiency manifests itself in many different ways, so if you suspect that you have it, you can safely assume that supplementation will help.</p>
<p>Magnesium, which relaxes, is an antagonist of calcium, which tightens. Thus, magnesium, for example, lowers blood pressure and relaxes muscles, and calcium causes them to contract and increases pressure, etc. Counterintuitively, uncontrolled muscle cramps are not a symptom of magnesium deficiency, but calcium deficiency, and with impaired absorption you can be deficient in both elements and have unstable levels that produce various strange symptoms one after another (especially in terms of electrolytes, vitamin D3 levels, etc.).</p>
<p><strong>How to replenish magnesium?</strong></p>
<p>In the case of <a href="https://anna-bee.com/en/blog/hidden-digestive-problems-or-what-is-vinegar-for/">digestive problems</a>, e.g. when the pH of gastric juices is too high, swallowing a handful of capsules a day leads to stomach pain, diarrhea and, as a result, mediocre absorption, which is why – if possible – I always opt for liquid supplements. However, there are conditions in which even liquids are unacceptable. What then?</p>
<p>Not everyone knows that <strong>minerals can be perfectly replenished through the skin.</strong></p>
<p>The skin is the largest organ in the body and can absorb micronutrients with its entire surface. However, in addition to bypassing the stomach, transdermal supplementation also has the advantage of undergoing osmosis – minerals penetrate from a higher concentration environment to a lower concentration environment and naturally balance the levels between salt water and blood, which means that the body will take up exactly as many elements as it needs and there is no risk of overdosing. And the activity itself is extremely stress-relieving and has a great effect on the skin and on literacy.</p>
<p>Assuming that even organic food is poor in minerals and that we all suffer from greater or lesser mineral deficiencies, I always have a box of <strong>Kłodawa</strong> <strong>salt</strong> (a full spectrum of over 80 minerals, super pure salt from deep deposits) and <strong>Epsom</strong> <strong>salt</strong> (magnesium sulfate) by the bathtub, of which I add handfuls into every bath, whether for children or for adults. I don&#8217;t worry about the dosage – I just make sure that the water is salty, and its concentration will be lower than when floating, in the Dead Sea, or even in thermal baths.</p>
<p>Why do I choose Kłodawa salt? Because it comes from deep deposits so it is super clean compared to most of the sea salts advertised today (every salt is from the sea!) that have been evaporated from seas and oceans which are polluted with mercury, plastic and sewage. It is also much cheaper compared to Himalayan salt and by using it I support domestic production, so there are a lot <span style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f642.png" alt="🙂" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> of advantages</span></p>
<p>And magnesium sulfate is better than, for example, chloride in that it also improves the condition of the skin. We use <a href="https://anna-bee.com/en/blog/msm-a-wonderful-cure-for-all/">organic sulfur (MSM) in our syrup</a> internally for the skin, for detoxing, improving the condition of joints, mucous membranes, sinuses, etc., but adding it from the outside can&#8217;t hurt, especially when it is highly unlikely to overdose it in the bathtub<span style="font-family: Segoe UI Symbol, sans-serif;"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f609.png" alt="😉" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" />.</span></p>
<p>Regardless of whether you want to relax your muscles after training, reduce PMS symptoms, <a href="https://anna-bee.com/en/blog/how-to-clear-up-congested-sinuses/">clear your sinuses</a>, or relieve sunburn, it is worth buying at least a 25 kg bag of Kłodawa salt and Epsom salt online and build yourself a home spa that is always at hand and is much cheaper <span style="font-family: Segoe UI Symbol, sans-serif;"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f609.png" alt="😉" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /></span></p>
<p><strong>Types of brine baths depending on your needs:</strong></p>
<p>1.<strong> brine bath</strong> / mineral supply – Kłodawa salt (minimum 1-2 glasses of salt per bathtub),</p>
<p>2. <strong>magnesium replenishment</strong> (muscle relaxation, PMS, AD) – at least 1-2 glasses of Epsom salt per bathtub</p>
<p><em>[it is recommended to take therapeutic baths in the Dead Sea for 30 minutes each day for a minimum of a month],</em></p>
<p>3. <strong>general oxygenation</strong> / unblocking of sinuses – brine bath + 4-5 100 ml bottles of hydrogen peroxide 3% per bathtub</p>
<p><em>[or correspondingly smaller amounts of perhydrol],</em></p>
<p>4. <strong>aromatherapy bath</strong> – salt brine bath + a few drops of natural essential oils (lavender helps you fall asleep, bergamot improves your mood, rose is divine, etc.),</p>
<p>5. <strong>iodine bath</strong> (Lugol&#8217;s solution) – brine bath + a few drops of <a href="https://anna-bee.com/shop/zestawy-podrozne/zestaw-podrozny-l/">Lugol&#8217;s 10% solution</a> (correspondingly larger amounts of the weaker 1% solution usually available in the pharmacy)</p>
[please note – Lugol&#8217;s liquid is corrosive, so it should be added immediately before entering the bathtub (also because iodine is a gas and evaporates quickly) and you should not add too much because then the skin heats up for many more hours <img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f642.png" alt="🙂" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> ],</p>
<p>6. <strong>detoxifying / deacidifying bath</strong> with baking soda – soothing for the skin, e.g. during chickenpox, HFMD, mycosis, sunburn; during antiparasitic treatments (to reduce Herx symptoms); during inflammation of the urinary tract, etc.</p>
<p>My favorite bath is the all-inclusive bath, which is a combination of all the elements above (at least one glass of Kłodawa salt and Epsom salt, a bottle of mineral water and a good movie on a safely positioned laptop <span style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f642.png" alt="🙂" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /></span></p>
<p>I only avoid combining iodine and hydrogen peroxide, and othen than this – knock yourself out.</p>
<p>A bathtub full of salt, especially magnesium, saved me from a horrible Herxheimer&#8217;s reaction during my antiparasitic treatment with Zentel.</p>
<p>The only thing to remember is that baths should be taken in non-hot water and last between 20-40 minutes to avoid dehydration. However, I don&#8217;t worry about dehydration – I put a bottle of water and Concentrace on the bathtub and binge-watch.<span style="font-family: Segoe UI Symbol, sans-serif;"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f609.png" alt="😉" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /></span></p>
<p>Those unfortunate people who do not own a bathtub can resort to a large bowl of water or, as I learned recently – use wellies! While brine baths in wellies seem to me absolutely brilliant in their simplicity, I will leave the dosage of salt to those who <span style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;"> are<img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f642.png" alt="🙂" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> experimenting with this method</span></p>
<p>It&#8217;s never too early to replenish minerals – I have been adding small amounts of Kłodawa salt and magnesium to every bath for mi kids since birth and I increase the salinity as they get older. They really like this different kind of snow only it dissolves too <span style="font-family: Segoe UI Symbol, sans-serif;"><img src="https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/15.0.3/72x72/1f609.png" alt="😉" class="wp-smiley" style="height: 1em; max-height: 1em;" /> quickly</span></p>
